In the morning we could visit trees and say hello, + perform rituals + take pics/videos
we also can follow the trees that have a label (that are in the database)
Isabella has the idea to go visit the Douglas fir + the 3rd sequoia we saw first when we arrived at the park.


In the afternoon (13h/13h30) we could go see Hans (in his office , and maybe go in the forest with him again ) to discuss the database from different angles :
- what is its use ?
- glitches, issues and what is Hans' database anxiety
- friction between nature management ideology at the time the domain was created and more ecological/systemical ways of being with non-humans
- what infos are available about our tree friends ?
- what about dead trees ?
-  connections with other databases
-  opening the database

Proposal to evolve and discuss!
Local investigation, using experiential (felt through the stones) and historical (written in the stones or more) research material to recover the memory of ancestor that suffered oppression and how they resisted. The goal is to create rituals, strategies, algorithms to fight the erosion of the memory of these ancestors and channel them to inspire new ways of infecting the system in the present.
Physical outputs: research visualization (maps, diagrams, films), workflow for ritual, coding potentially, performing the rituals
Suggested examples of history to investigate: Witchcraft history of hasselt
 
First day : 10h30? (here after meditation)
First algorithm : ->INPUT( database of suffering and burnings; local archive of the city; literature and fiction and folklore; psychogeological research for places of witchburning in the city and discussion w the spirits) ->OUTPUT: (feeling of the presence of the memory,  and getting an idea of the strategies and knowledge)

This is field research day: 
going to the library, 
going to the university, 
going to the witch-hill, 
observe the erosion of the stones there, 
work with database of witch burning in Europe, Belgium, Limburg, Hasselt.
